Her smile

No one knew what her smile hid.
The pain,
The insecurities,
The walls that were closing in on her.
She could feel the screams building,
Clamoring to get out.
If she let them free,
Could she get them back?
Would she want them back?
Or would they forever be out there,
For all to see?
The walls were closing in on her
And no one knew what her smile hid.
