Morning Lover

The morning sun kisses my face

As does the soft breeze.

It glides across my skin

Warming my flesh.

It’s as gentle as

A lover’s touch.

I catch a scent in the air

And my body stills.

My eyes close

As I take it in.

It wraps me in it’s embrace

As a lover would.

It fills my soul

As only a lover can.

The morning sun kisses my face

As if it was my lover.
